About the role
Role overview
As a Staff / Tech Lead Software Engineer at Filigran, you will set and drive the technical vision, mentor the software engineering team, and actively contribute to key parts of the product codebase. You’ll collaborate with staff engineers, engineering managers, and the product team in a fully remote, async-first environment.
Key missions & responsibilities
- Technical relay: Facilitate, enable, and help coordinate technical direction within the software engineering team.
- Hands-on engineering: Contribute directly to major features, critical bug fixes, and important parts of the codebase.
- Technical leadership: Supervise, challenge, and actively drive technical discussions within your team and across teams.
Requirements
- Experience operating at Staff/Tech Lead level (technical ownership and mentoring).
- Ability to lead technical topics and influence cross-team engineering execution.
- Strong hands-on software engineering skills to contribute to major codebase areas.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working effectively in an async-first remote engineering setup.
