Role Overview

Staff Systems Engineering Program Manager (Staff System EPM) at Samsara. Lead hardware engineering projects from product concept to mass production, partnering with engineering, product, and supply chain to ship high-quality products on time.

Responsibilities

  • Drive cross-functional coordination and communication across EE, PD, Firmware, Full Stack, QA, Product Management, and Operations
  • Find ways to reduce time-to-market, improve product functionality, and reduce costs
  • Plan and execute engineering xVT builds and coordinate with Supply Chain Management and New Product Introduction for production readiness
  • Manage internal/external communications and coordinate design/development processes, including design reviews and approvals
  • Partner with global engineering teams to deliver projects meeting schedule and budget constraints
  • Coordinate with JDM & CM partners and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes
  • Model and champion Samsara’s cultural principles: customer success, long-term building, growth mindset, inclusion, and teamwork

Requirements

  • 8+ years shipping high-volume hardware programs at scale with ODM/JDM partners overseas
  • Strong organization skills: detail, prioritization, and execution rigor (cut off in provided text)

Location / Work Style

  • Hybrid role for candidates residing in the US, working from the San Francisco, CA office 3 days/week
