Staff Software Engineer - Next Gen

Role Overview

NetDocuments is seeking a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to help shape the next generation of its user experience platform. You will act as a hands-on technical leader, partnering with Product, Design, and senior engineering leaders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership & team impact
  • Serve as a technical lead for a team of experienced engineers
  • Spend ~70% coding and 30% mentoring/guiding
  • Lead architectural discussions and influence technical direction
  • Partner in hiring (interviewing and recruiting)
• Design & build
  • Architect and implement modern React applications and reusable component systems
  • Build and maintain full stack applications using React, TypeScript, and C#/.NET
  • Design and implement APIs using REST and GraphQL
  • Contribute to microservices architecture (service decomposition and communication patterns)
  • Build, test, and run applications across multiple environments
• System performance & optimization
  • Proactively optimize system behavior and diagnose issues
  • Instrument applications with logging, metrics, and telemetry
  • Improve reliability and scalability
  • Ensure solutions align with security and compliance requirements

Requirements (implied by the role)

• Deep expertise building production-grade full stack applications
• Strong track record leading technical direction within a team
• Experience designing scalable frontend architecture and full stack systems

Nice-to-haves

• Experience mentoring engineers and working closely with cross-functional partners (Product/Design)
• Background in microservices and observability (logging/metrics/telemetry)
