About the role
Role Overview
Join Lime as a Staff Software Engineer (Internal Tools). You will design and develop internal web applications that help internal teams access specific datasets and perform actions without granting direct access to sensitive systems. You’ll also integrate key business platforms, enhance security with least-privilege patterns, and improve operational efficiency.
Key Missions
- Design & develop internal web applications for internal teams to access specific datasets and take actions without exposing sensitive systems.
- Partner with the Data & Integrations team to architect and build connections between key platforms, including Snowflake, Zendesk, and Slack, to automate workflows.
- Champion “least privilege” security by building UIs that transform sensitive data into actionable insights, reducing the need for raw data access.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, participate in sprint planning, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering, with focus on internal tools or B2B applications.
- Experience querying and integrating with data warehouses, specifically Snowflake, and building APIs to fetch and transform data.
- Strong systems thinking: break down high-level goals (e.g., reducing manual ticket escalation) into technical tasks and sprints.
- Experience working in an Agile sprint cycle.
- Technical versatility across the stack (ability to build a simple, intuitive frontend and backend logic to support it).
- Understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and security design principles to protect sensitive data.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira APIs.
