Staff Software Engineer

Role Overview

You will be a Staff Software Engineer (Senior+), working end-to-end on full-stack features for an AI-first FinTech platform. You’ll help scale a distributed, cloud-native system with significant autonomy and direct influence on architectural direction.

Responsibilities

• Own system design through deployment for full-stack product features
• Help scale a highly distributed cloud-native platform
• Design and scale complex relational databases
• Build with an AI-native mindset (e.g., evals, experiments, datasets)
• Apply an SRE approach: reliability, observability, and low-toil infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with technical leadership/CTO

Requirements

• 7–20 years of software engineering experience
• Minimum 5+ years at Senior+ level
• Strong track record in shipping full-stack products end-to-end
• Experience in product-led tech companies (VC-backed/high-growth/FAANG)
• Advanced TypeScript in production systems
• React (frontend) and Node/Express (backend)
• GraphQL/Apollo and PostgreSQL
• Hands-on with Docker, AWS, and Terraform
• Experience building/scaling high-throughput distributed systems
• Strong SRE mindset (reliability, observability, low toil)
• FinTech experience is a plus

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with AI-native product development practices (evals, experiments, datasets)
• Security-aware, detail-driven, product-oriented ownership
• Long tenure and progression (2+ years per role)
• Active GitHub and side projects
