- Full-stack engineering background: scaling distributed systems and designing well-architected microservices.
- Experience integrating complex partner/third-party APIs and building/maintaining file-driven data pipelines.
- Strong testing discipline (unit, integration, TDD, and end-to-end).
- Support-adjacent experience (e.g., on-call, triage, customer-facing resolution).
- Proactive observability practices and the ability to lead high-severity multi-system investigations.
- Thoughtful use of AI/LLM tooling to improve efficiency without over-reliance.
- Evidence of working in regulated industries with compliance and data privacy requirements.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; high autonomy with technical vision.
- Warm, collaborative mindset; invested in helping others succeed.
Nice to Have
- Prior energy industry experience (e.g., utility programs, demand response, DER management, wholesale energy markets).
- Background building internal developer tooling/platform/shared infrastructure.
- Familiarity with data quality monitoring and observability tooling.
Notable Technologies Mentioned
