About the role

Role Overview

Staff Software Engineer on the CRM team at Luxury Presence. You will be a technical leader shaping platform architecture and delivering AI-powered product capabilities with a small, AI-augmented engineering team.

What You’ll Do

AI-powered relationship intelligence: build data-enrichment and scoring to detect life events and surface proactive recommendations for agents.
Autonomous conversational lead nurture: extend and evolve long-running SMS/phone-based AI systems that engage, qualify, and follow up with leads for up to 12 months.
Unified contact graph + integrations hub: design a contact data model that syncs email, integrates with third-party CRMs and enrichment providers, and supports bidirectional sync with cross-source deduplication.
AI-driven workflow automation: build automation layers (e.g., Smart Actions/Tasks and Deals pipeline) to turn a traditional CRM into a proactive system that learns from agent behavior.

Requirements

8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including meaningful time in senior/staff roles.
Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
Experience designing and operating scalable microservices in cloud-native environments (AWS preferred).
Strong understanding of GraphQL, event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, SQS), and distributed databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch).
Proven ability to lead high-impact initiatives end-to-end (concept to production) in a SaaS environment.
Expert grasp of software design principles and experience with multi-tenant platform architectures.
Uses AI daily in engineering workflows (specifically references Claude Code).
Systems thinking, clear communication of complex tradeoffs to product/design/executives.
