About the role

Role Overview

Staff Software Engineer (Core UI) at SimSpace. You will be the senior-most technical voice for the Core UI team, shaping frontend architecture and standards for shared UI systems (design system, shared component libraries, frontend architecture, and the engineering–UX partnership). This is hands-on technical leadership (no people-management).

What You’ll Do

Set Technical Direction & Architecture
- Own the architecture decisions and technical roadmap for SimSpace’s core frontend/shared UI systems.
- Lead major frontend initiatives end to end (requirements → architecture → delivery), with clear goals and priorities.
- Steward architectural decisions and manage technical/UX debt intentionally to balance long-term health and delivery.
- Define and enforce frontend technical standards for code health, performance, testing, and documentation.
- Mentor Design Engineers and frontend engineers by modeling strong craft and pragmatic collaboration.
Build & Evolve Core UI Systems
- Design, build, extend, and maintain SimSpace’s design system and shared UI foundations.

Requirements

Experienced frontend engineer ready for real ownership of a UI platform domain.
Strong technical leadership skills: setting standards, making hard architectural calls, and raising quality expectations.
Ability to partner closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
