About the role

Role Overview

Join Zocdoc as a Staff Software Engineer (Clinical Fit) on the Clinical Fit team. You’ll help power the patient–provider matching experience by leading domain modeling, system architecture, and development for services that improve accuracy, reliability, and booking attribution.

Responsibilities

Lead domain modeling and architecture for systems enabling patient/provider matching based on needs and preferences.
Architect and ship roadmap initiatives, improving reliability and accuracy of core data and booking attribution systems.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and 1:1 pairing.
Collaborate with product, design, research, and marketing to deliver a unified vision.

Requirements

Strong desire to build equitable, inclusive, and diverse workplaces; practice humility and dignity/respect.
Bias to action and an owner/entrepreneur mentality; comfortable owning problems end-to-end from architecture to launch.
Fundamental understanding of building and scaling data-intensive analytics platforms, including both:
- Back-end services
- Front-end visualization
Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to keep stakeholders aligned.
Experience integrating generative AI tools into daily workflows to automate tasks and increase productivity.
Highly analytical and data-driven, with a focus on trust through accuracy and reliability.
Strong collaboration skills and passion for mentorship.
