Staff Software Engineer

Role Overview

Join Arcadia as a Staff Software Engineer in the Energy Analytics Squad. You will build web API and data pipeline solutions that integrate with the broader Arcadia Platform data ecosystem, with a focus on electricity cost modeling.

Key Missions

• Contribute to the electricity cost modeling REST API and related pipeline architecture.
• Translate product and subject-matter-expert requirements into engineering-ready designs, specifications, and implementation plans.
• Participate in peer technical review sessions to ensure maintainable and effective code.

Responsibilities (implied)

• Own and deliver software modules in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts.
• Build and improve data pipelines supporting the platform.
• Improve engineering processes through operational and technical contributions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience in a SaaS or technology company.
• Strong requirements synthesis and clear communication; demonstrated ownership of modules developed with SMEs.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Mongo preferred).
• Experience with Python and enterprise Java (Spring / Spring Boot preferred).
• Ability to drive organizational-level impact.
• Experience with Python data science ecosystem tools (e.g., Jupyter, Pandas, Streamlit).
• Experience building SQL data pipelines (Snowflake + DBT preferred).
• Experience adopting/implementing LLMs (Strategic AI expertise).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related).
• Deployed systems on AWS (or similar).
• Experience building and operating REST APIs at scale (metrics in M/G/T range).
• Experience working in the energy (or similar domain) with deep domain knowledge.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized platforms (Argo orchestration preferred).

Nice to Have

• Front-end experience with React.
