Staff Software Engineer - AI Marketing - US (Remote)

Role overview

As a Staff Software Engineer (AI Marketing) - US (Remote) at Luxury Presence, you’ll be a technical leader shaping platform architecture and AI-powered product delivery. You’ll help define what a next-generation, AI-augmented engineering organization looks like, and raise the technical bar for a small team building with AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Drive large-scale technical initiatives from concept through production, aligning architecture decisions with business goals.
• Ship AI-native product experiences with Product, Design, and AI teams—leveraging LLMs, agent frameworks, and real-time data.
• Lead system design for critical platform capabilities, including:
  • an AI-powered site builder pipeline
  • a multi-tenant infrastructure serving thousands of businesses
• Define engineering standards: review practices, developer tooling, and build patterns for the org.
• Evolve AI agent integration into the development workflow.
• Mentor and elevate engineers across the organization, coaching through hard design problems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering, with meaningful time in senior/staff roles.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Experience designing and operating scalable microservices in cloud-native environments (AWS preferred).
• Strong understanding of GraphQL, event-driven systems (Kafka, SQS), and distributed databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch).
• Proven ability to lead high-impact initiatives in a SaaS environment.
• Expert grasp of software design principles and multi-tenant platform architectures.
• Uses AI daily in workflow; specifically Claude Code as a core tool.
• Strong system thinking and ability to connect technical decisions to customer outcomes.
• Clear, direct communication with product/design/executives; can explain complex tradeoffs.

• Strong opinions (loosely held) on how AI changes software architecture and engineering culture.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and evolving roadmaps in a fast-growing company.
