Role Overview

Staff Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Assured is seeking a Staff SDET with strong TypeScript proficiency to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools. You will partner with developers, product managers, and the SRE team to deliver robust test coverage that supports continuous integration and delivery.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks using TypeScript
Build and maintain automated UI, API, E2E, and integration tests
Collaborate with developers to write testable code and integrate tests early in the SDLC
Participate in code reviews and design reviews; improve overall testability and quality
Continuously improve test coverage, reliability, and automation performance
Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or similar
Investigate test failures, triage defects, and identify root causes
Contribute to testing strategies, QA best practices, and documentation

Requirements

Experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and the broader JavaScript ecosystem
Experience with test automation tools
Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have / Additional Context

Experience working closely with SRE and supporting CI/CD reliability at scale
