Role overview

You will join Cision as a Staff Software Developer working with product, design, and Principal Engineers to build and enhance applications using AI intent within a spec-driven development framework.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design, and Principal Engineers to develop and enhance applications by managing AI intent in a spec-driven workflow.
• Orchestrate AI agents to generate production-ready code and automated tests, including multi-LLM workflows for code verification and quality assurance.
• Recommend best practices for AI-native workflows while ensuring maintainability, security, and performance.
• Mentor Senior and II-level engineers.
• Work across the entire SDLC with a strong focus on engineering quality.

Requirements

• In-depth expertise in the .NET stack and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• .NET 6+ with C#.
• Advanced Git experience.
• Strong experience with RESTful web services.
• Expert/advanced Unit Testing experience.
• Expert knowledge of SQL.
• Advanced mastery of GitHub Copilot Agent Mode, including AI-driven debugging and knowledge of SDD.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field and 8+ years of experience in solution delivery and technical leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of messaging & queuing.

Nice to have / implied

• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React.
