Role overview

Finalsite is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer (100% remote, US) to lead the evolution of the company’s infrastructure, reliability, and observability practices across a multi-cloud environment.

Responsibilities

Design, improve, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
Build and manage staging and development environments aligned with production standards
Establish observability practices, including monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and SLO frameworks
Partner with engineering teams to improve platform modernization and infrastructure reliability
Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) standards and operational consistency across AWS and GCP
Provide technical leadership for infrastructure architecture, reliability, and operational best practices
Lead incident response and operational readiness initiatives
Use AI-assisted development tools to support infrastructure analysis and improvements

Requirements

10+ years experience as a Staff SRE or senior infrastructure engineer supporting production systems at scale
Strong expertise in AWS and GCP
Familiarity with queue-based or event-driven architectures and autoscaling technologies
Experience designing/improving CI/CD infrastructure and deployment automation
Hands-on Kubernetes operations experience (scalability and workload reliability)
Observability and incident management experience (monitoring/alerting strategies)
Proficiency with IaC, such as Terraform
Strong communication and cross-team collaboration
Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, or similar)

Nice to have

Experience with platform modernization and/or large-scale migrations
Experience in multi-tenant SaaS environments
Background leading modern SRE practices within infrastructure teams
Familiarity with Ruby/Rails or Python deployment environments
Experience in EdTech or other highly available production environments
