Staff Product Manager, Telematics

Role Overview

Staff Product Manager (Telematics) — Lead Product Manager for Motive’s Telematics Platform. The team builds the centralized platform that collects, ingests, processes, and serves vehicle and device data for Motive’s product ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Own the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Telematics data platform, balancing enterprise reliability with feature innovation.
• Partner with R&D/engineering leads to solve core platform challenges and deliver reliable data services.
• Define and launch customer-facing Telematics APIs, webhooks, and data integrations for the Enterprise segment.
• Drive platform readiness for strategic initiatives, including international expansion.
• Collaborate with AI teams to make telematics data a core part of Motive’s AI differentiation (analytics and automated workflows).
• Mentor and coach other Product Managers to scale product leadership in this domain.
• Lead the charge in productizing telematics data via API-first products and rich Enterprise integrations.
• Act as a central pillar of product leadership, driving alignment across the company around complex engineering challenges.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, including a proven lead-role track record.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience building and scaling complex data platforms, API-first products, IoT systems, or large-scale distributed systems.
• Ability to manage a platform-as-a-product, balancing multiple internal stakeholders with external customer requirements.
• Strong ability to influence roadmaps, build consensus, and drive alignment across product, engineering, and GTM teams.
