Staff Product Manager

Role Overview

Join Onebrief as a Staff Product Manager and help improve military operations and personnel safety. You will research complex workflows, elicit non-obvious requirements, and translate them into product solutions while leading initiatives end-to-end.

Key Missions

• Conduct research to elicit requirements and translate them into effective solutions for military staff.
• Lead product initiatives that enhance military staff capabilities and improve safety outcomes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a seamless user experience and successful software product development.

Responsibilities / What You’ll Do

• Understand complex systems and workflows and convert them into usable product experiences.
• Work iteratively with cross-functional teams to prototype, test, and refine solutions.
• Communicate clearly with engineers/designers and also with senior leadership (including the C-suite).
• Apply design thinking to challenge assumptions, redefine problems, and create innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Strong product mindset: understands how to build software products.
• Ability to speak the language of engineers and designers while driving evaluation and solutions.
• Crisp, clear, concise communication (written and oral).
• High attention to detail and pragmatism.
• Experience developing B2B/SaaS products and working with modern collaboration tools.
• Collaborative, iterative, and solutions-oriented working style; comfortable with autonomy and ambiguity.
• Up-to-date understanding of web technologies and best practices; experimentally minded.
• Comfortable taking an owner’s mentality approach and accountability.
• Interest in or understanding of the military and defense tech space.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
