About the role
Role Overview
Staff Product Manager, Content (HQ: Remote - USA) You’ll own product content strategy, drive cross-functional execution, and help evolve Engine’s horizontal content and mapping platforms to improve conversion and pricing foundations across travel verticals.
Responsibilities
- Product Content Strategy: Define and execute strategies for accurate, compelling travel content and mapping capabilities to support best-in-class conversion and pricing across flights, cars, and lodging.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with engineering, data science, front-end product teams, and partner-facing teams to deliver seamless, content-rich experiences.
- Platform & Systems Ownership: Lead evolution of horizontal content and mapping platforms (suppliers, rate providers, and internal tools) to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability across travel verticals.
- Insight-Driven Decision Making: Use data, experimentation, and user behavior to drive measurable impact on conversion, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 6+ years hands-on product management experience, including owning roadmaps and outcomes for backend or platform products.
- Strong product craft; able to set strategy and translate it into clear, prioritized roadmaps.
- Deep collaboration with engineering, data, and design.
- Demonstrated ability to drive impact via experimentation and data-driven decision-making.
- Comfortable operating cross-functionally across multiple verticals (e.g., flights, hotels/cars, groups, partners) and improving scalable content experiences.
Nice to Have
- Travel, marketplaces, or high-scale content/catalog system experience.
- SQL fluency and experience in technical/data-heavy domains (e.g., mapping, inventory, ranking).
- Experience working closely with data scientists and analysts.
