Role overview

Staff Product Manager – Billing & Reporting Own the zero-to-one build of Socure’s real-time billing, usage metering, entitlements, and reporting on RiskOS. This role connects product innovation to clean revenue, accurate forecasting, and executive-level visibility.

What you’ll do

• Define the billing spec: Create and maintain a standardized billing and metering specification for consistent monetization and usage capture across products.
• Build real-time billing: Partner with Engineering on an event-driven, real-time billing flow covering metering, rating, proration, discounts, bundles, commitments, and overage rules.
• Modernize billing: Lead migration from legacy systems to a unified real-time billing/metering architecture while ensuring data integrity, backward compatibility, and audit continuity.
• Own entitlements and usage:
  • Design APIs/SDKs to simplify usage metering and enforce entitlements with low latency and high reliability.
• Report with clarity:
  • Deliver billing/usage/performance dashboards and data products.
  • Provide accurate, timely, self-serve executive and customer reporting.
• Harden the data: Govern data quality, lineage, integrity, reconciliation, auditability, and SLAs for billing/reporting datasets.
• Integrate the stack: Drive roadmap for ERP, CPQ, CRM, and payments integrations (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, Tableau).
• Close the loop with Finance/RevOps: Partner on revenue recognition, month-end close, forecasting, and reducing disputes.
• Guide pricing & packaging: Advise on implications of product/features; enable pricing/discount/usage experiments without custom code.
• Instrument & observe: Set up monitoring, alerting, and error budgets for metering/billing; reduce revenue leakage and silent failures.
• Continuously improve: Identify gaps, propose enhancements, prioritize roadmap, ship, and measure outcomes.

What you bring

• 4–7 years in product management (or similar) in SaaS/B2B, with exposure to billing, usage metering, RevOps, and/or financial systems.
• Strong understanding of billing systems and financial data pipelines and how they integrate with product/platform architecture.
• Proven experience working with Finance, Accounting, RevOps, and BI to deliver tools/reporting/data integrations with measurable impact.
• Ability to translate business/operational needs into clear specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria, then drive execution across teams.
• Familiarity with data modeling, pipelines, and API-driven integrations, with a point of view on reliability and governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication; can influence without direct authority.
• Analytical mindset: comfortable digging into data, performing root cause analysis, and partnering to remediate.
