About the role

Role overview

As a Staff Product Manager for Ads at VTEX, you will shape the Retail Media and Ads platform and help build a scalable media hub that enables 360° media strategies within commerce experiences. The role focuses on Onsite Ads, where VTEX acts as a media buying engine connecting advertisers, retailers, and shoppers.

You will own the product vision and execution for a domain serving major global brands, balancing short-term performance needs with a 2026 long-term scalability vision, including how AI and LLMs impact the ads and retail media ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the Onsite Ads product as the long-term vision “guardian,” aligning with VTEX revenue and growth strategy.
  • Define and execute the 6–12 month product roadmap, while shaping a scalable 2026 vision for Retail Media.
  • Translate complex customer and business needs into product priorities and ensure alignment/visibility across Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Growth.
  • Work with advertisers and retailers (and internal stakeholders) to balance performance, campaign needs, and platform evolution.
  • Partner with Engineering to deliver high-impact solutions, leveraging a technical background and understanding of ads/media systems.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to improve client engagement: clarify product ownership, flows, and expectations.
  • Evaluate and incorporate the impact of AI and LLMs on ads performance, campaign optimization, and media buying workflows.
  • Support internal team evolution and collaboration with future PM roles.

Requirements

  • Experienced Product Manager with a strong background in Retail Media and Ads.
  • Proven ability to build and communicate product vision and translate strategy into execution in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic ecosystem involving advertisers, retailers, sales, customer success, and growth teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to align competing priorities and drive decisions.
  • Curiosity and critical thinking about AI/LLMs in the future of ads, retail media, and commerce.
  • Fluent English.

Nice to have

  • A demonstrated technical understanding of ads/media systems and workflows, particularly related to AI/LLM-enabled optimization.
