Staff Product Engineer (São Paulo)

Role: Staff Product Engineer

Staff Product Engineer for an initiative-based team in a remote setup for candidates based in São Paulo, Brazil.

What you’ll do

• Own an initiative end-to-end with a PM and designer, from problem framing and technical approach to production shipping and post-launch metric review.
• Make most technical decisions (architecture, data model, integrations, rollout plan, observability, rollback strategy), with architect review for significant decisions.
• Direct AI coding agents to implement much of the code while ensuring correctness and quality (prompts, guardrails, evals, tests, and review loop).
• Ship production-ready software: when areas require careful hand-written code, you write it yourself.
• Drive cross-functional partnership through daily collaboration with PM (scope/tradeoffs) and designer (UX decisions/prototyping), plus weekly check-ins with the Engineering Manager.
• Be accountable for the initiative outcome metric, presenting results 2–4 weeks after launch.

• Measured by impact, not code volume.
• Work at a staff bar: trusted to ship hard problems and stand behind outcomes.
• Maintain a high bar for quality including production correctness, security, performance, observability, and customer/pro partner experience.
• Use AI as a force multiplier without lowering standards.
