Staff Product Designer

About the role

Join Speak, a language learning startup, as a Staff Product Designer. In this high-impact role, you'll design innovative AI-driven conversational experiences, partner closely with the CEO and CTO, and have the opportunity to shape the future of language learning. You'll work across product, design, and engineering teams, take ownership of designing the AI tutoring product, and support miscellaneous design work across the company. Key missions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product strategy and create innovative AI-driven conversational experiences.. Take ownership of designing new features from concept to finalized pixels, ensuring a consistent design language across platforms.. Lead design projects for web and mobile products, balancing vision, technical feasibility, and user value. Profile: - You've invested in your craft and have experience with prototyping, micro-interactions, utilizing motion, and creating design palettes - An ideal candidate will additionally have experience designing a consumer/content-forward app, audio and speaking experiences, as well as have a personal interest in language learning - Extensive experience leading design projects for web and mobile products - You're a clear communicator and enjoy working closely with partners across teams, particularly in engineering - You enjoy going deep on both UX and UI work - 6+ years of experience as a Product Designer in consumer-facing products - Experience working on a small design team and "doing it all"
