Staff Product Designer (Social Experiences)

About the role

Join Pinterest as a Staff Product Designer on the Social Experiences team. In this role, you will drive user growth by enhancing our social ecosystem, improving sharing flows, and creating new social experiences. You will also mentor other designers and shape the future of meaningful connections on Pinterest. Key responsibilities include defining the social ecosystem strategy, partnering with product and engineering teams, designing user-centered features, and managing feedback from stakeholders. You should have 7+ years of product design experience, excellent UX design skills, and a strong portfolio. Profile: - 7+ years in Product Design (or equivalent) - High level of self-awareness with a growth mindset that is focused on impact - Excellent product thinking and UX design skills - A well-versed storyteller with strong presentation skills - Bachelor’s degree in design, a related field or equivalent experience - Experience working on social features, metrics-inspired design (growth teams) is a plus - Strong portfolio that demonstrates outstanding design skills and a passion for experimentation, data literacy and systems thinking a plus - Understanding how to fold in Trust & Safety best practices into their solutions (privacy, integrity, controls, considering bad actors) - Drive results by holding the team accountable for efficient, high-quality execution of goals - Experience leading complex user and metrics inspired projects - Great communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate your design decisions and the problems they’re solving - Ability to set the direction for the team by creating clear and impactful strategies - Familiarity with AI tools for product development efficiency and AI capabilities for user facing features - especially Figma Make for quick prototyping and using AI assistants for referencing research, ideating and brainstorming - Experience in balancing speed and quality with a focus on driving impact through both optimizations and 0-1 product development
