Staff Product Designer (Product Infrastructure)

Role Overview

Join Valon as a Staff Product Designer (Product Infrastructure) and lead end-to-end design for foundational platform capabilities. You’ll help drive business impact for Valon’s Product Infrastructure team while partnering across stakeholders and shaping product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design for foundational platform capabilities, reusable patterns, and the design system.
• Improve usability and accelerate product development across the organization.
• Develop deep user understanding using quantitative and qualitative research for audiences such as:
  • mortgage servicing operators
  • deployment strategists
  • technical teams
• Mentor designers and cross-functional partners, building a culture of collaboration and high product quality.
• Provide thought partnership on product and design strategy with a focus on long-term impact.

• 3+ years of product design experience, preferably in a D2C fintech environment.
• Familiarity with user research, usability testing, and data-driven design decisions.
• Experience designing workflows, internal tools, or B2B SaaS products.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with LLM / Generative AI tools.
