Staff Product Designer (Multiple Roles, Multiple Teams)

Role Overview

Wealthsimple is hiring multiple Staff Product Designers (and also Senior Product Designers) across several teams, including Asset Expansion and Banking. You’ll design client-facing product experiences across the full development process, shaping what gets built in personal finance.

Responsibilities

• Design high-impact, client-empowering product experiences to support smarter financial decisions
• Partner closely with product, engineering, content, research throughout product development
• Own the full design stack:
  • early discovery and prototyping
  • high-fidelity visuals and micro-interactions
• Conduct research and use data to understand client needs and drive design decisions
• Help evolve and scale the design system with consistency and strong craft
• Raise the bar for quality and clarity across your team

Requirements

• Experience designing for consumer-facing mobile apps (notably React Native and native iOS/Android)
• Strong UX and visual design skills; ability to simplify complex problems
• User-first mindset and strong product sense (know when to iterate quickly vs. sweat details)
• Collaborative communication; experience shipping with product and engineering
• Passion for personal finance with interest in banking, investing, or financial planning tools

Staff vs. Senior Expectations

• Senior Designers: proven track record of shipping high-quality, impactful work end-to-end
• Staff Designers: experience leading large initiatives, mentoring, and driving design quality and strategy at a higher level

Location / Work Model

• Remote-first team across North America
• HQ references: Canada / NYC
• 90 days away program: employees can work outside Canada for up to 90 days per calendar year
