Staff Product Designer

Role overview

Join Dropbox as a Staff Product Designer to lead the design of CompanyOS, an AI-native operating system for work. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to elevate design quality through strong craft, user research, and customer-obsessed product thinking.

Key missions & responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and drive the user experience and the interface for CompanyOS.
• Develop and iterate on wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas clearly.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.

Requirements

• Exceptional craft and attention to detail across visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.
• Experience across the full product lifecycle (discovery → launch → iteration), turning ambiguous problems into shipped products.
• Strong prototyping skills to explain complex features and web flows.
• Deep customer obsession with proven ability to leverage UX research for foundational insights and iterative design.
• 10+ years of product design experience.
• Ownership mindset with proactive project and team-driving behavior.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present demos to executive audiences and align stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity and passion for AI/ML and emerging technologies.
• Proven ability to design highly complex, multi-step workflows with significant decision depth and interdependencies.
• Experience in 0→1 product initiatives.
