Staff Product Designer

Role Overview

Join Clio as a Staff Product Designer to lead end-to-end experience design for a complex product area (Clio Manage). You’ll create a long-term experience vision, execute near-term roadmaps, and mentor other designers.

Key Missions

• Collaborate with Design, Product Managers, and Engineering to create long-term visions and deliver short-term roadmaps.
• Lead strategy and UX design across an entire experience (from discovery through validation to high-quality execution).
• Mentor and elevate other designers through constructive critiques, coaching, and modeling strategic skill.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality shipped work that solves customer problems and improves key product metrics.
• Use systems thinking to create reusable frameworks and patterns that scale across teams and products.
• Drive complex, cross-team initiatives and ensure cohesive solutions across interconnected systems.
• Lead discovery and align multiple teams around customer needs, opportunities, and execution.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Product Design experience (B2B SaaS preferred).
• Proven track record of shipping quality UX work with strong product impact.
• Experience mentoring peers.
• Deep UX craft: complex interaction design, information architecture, usability, and visual design.
• Expertise designing AI-powered experiences, including interaction patterns that support trust, transparency, and appropriate user control.
• Strong facilitation skills to align leaders, drive decisions, and move teams forward through ambiguity.
• Advanced customer-centric approach and strong product judgment tied to strategy, metrics, and roadmap decisions.
• Strong cross-functional execution and storytelling/presentation skills.

Nice to Have

• Product experience across multiple customer segments/products (e.g., Solo, SMB, Mid-Market).
• Practical fluency with modern design/prototyping and AI tools (e.g., Figma Make, Cursor, Gemini).
