About the role
Role Overview
Staff Product Designer, Back Office (US) Design and lead user-centered product experiences for complex business operations (including operational and financial workflows). You’ll work closely with product, engineering, research, and other teams to shape strategy, prototypes, and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design for complex product areas by combining research, strategy, interaction design, and cross-functional collaboration
- Identify opportunities to improve user workflows and operational processes
- Conduct user research (interviews), journey mapping, task flows, and validation/usability activities
- Create wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes using modern design tools
- Use AI-powered design tools/workflows to accelerate prototyping and improve efficiency
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and researchers to deliver high-quality experiences
- Facilitate collaborative design sessions (including remote whiteboarding and iterative exploration)
- Represent user needs in roadmap planning and product strategy discussions
- Provide constructive design feedback and mentor junior designers
Requirements
- Experience designing modern SaaS / enterprise platforms or comparable complex digital products
- Strong portfolio covering UX, interaction design, visual design, research, and prototyping
- Advanced understanding of AI experience design, creating workflows that are clear, trustworthy, and controllable
- Proven ability to lead iterative design processes including: research, user stories, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and high-fidelity design
- Ability to solve complex problems with simple, effective solutions
- Excellent communication and storytelling; able to influence stakeholders with design rationale
- Experience mentoring and improving team performance
- Ability to work effectively remotely with strong async communication
