About the role

Role overview

As a Staff Product Data Analyst, you’ll use quantitative and qualitative insights to drive strategic decisions and optimize product performance. You’ll ensure the Product team has a 360° customer knowledge view, with a key focus on the Growth product line (making the product self-serve from trial to conversion). You’ll partner closely with the Director/VP of Product and report to the Data Analytics manager.

Responsibilities

  • Define product success metrics: Identify and establish the core KPIs to measure product impact, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Enable data-driven teams: Guide teams with advanced analytical methodologies and tools; provide training so teams can independently use insights.
  • Own experimentation & experimentation metrics:
    • Design A/B tests and testing guidelines
    • Align success metrics across cross-functional teams
    • Validate experiment technical setup
    • Track experiment performance and communicate time-to-insight expectations
  • Analyze product performance & user behavior: Identify trends, issues, and opportunities to improve functionality and user experience.
  • Influence roadmap discussions: Partner with product researchers to maintain an overview of journey insights, identify remaining customer knowledge gaps, and proactively shape roadmap priorities.
  • Stakeholder communication: Translate complex findings into clear insights for non-technical partners.

Requirements

  • Strong statistical analysis, data modeling, and data visualization skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and turn results into actionable decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics/data tools including SQL, dbt, Excel, Tableau (or similar).
  • Expertise creating advanced visualizations (dashboards, interactive reports) for broad audiences.
  • Rigor in data integrity, accuracy, and validation of findings.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills and experience presenting to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional experience with product managers, engineers, and designers.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and manage multiple projects; familiarity with project management tools/methodologies.
  • Understanding of business strategy and how data supports product/business goals.

Nice-to-haves / Stand out

  • Prior experience as a data analyst and a background in business or engineering.

Team & reporting

  • Product Insights department, composed of Product Data Analytics and Product Research.
  • Reports to the Data Analytics manager of the team; partners with the Director of Product for the covered line.
