About the role
Role overview
Runway is hiring its first-ever Staff Product Analytics Engineer (full remote). You will ensure teams across the company use data effectively by owning product/business data infrastructure and pipelines, and applying an AI-first approach to scale internal data tooling.
Key missions
- Own data infrastructure and pipelines for business-critical product and user data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Design and build internal self-serve analytics tools so teammates can easily access and use data.
- Use an AI-first approach to scale data tooling and workflows.
- Partner cross-functionally with teams such as sales, finance, product, engineering, trust & safety, marketing, and studios to ensure critical usage data is available and interpreted effectively.
Profile / requirements
- Strong technical and product analytics background with experience understanding needs of cross-functional partners.
- 4+ years of experience working as a data analyst, engineer, or scientist, primarily on product data.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data manipulation/transformation, and privacy best practices.
- Ability to translate data needs into working solutions and build tooling teammates can comfortably use.
- Proven ability to turn raw data into tools/platforms enabling self-service.
- 4+ years of experience with: SQL, ETL, Python, and data modeling.
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication; comfortable working directly with sales, product, finance, and engineering.
Nice-to-have
- Experience as a founding product data analyst or first hire in a data role.
