Role overview

Join Render as a Staff / Principal Product Manager (Platform & Infrastructure). You will own the vision and roadmap for Render’s infrastructure platform, setting both the technical and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

Define the vision and roadmap for Render’s infrastructure platform (what a modern cloud platform looks like).
Lead the technical and strategic direction by working closely with infrastructure engineering on architectural decisions.
Understand customer needs and align them with product development teams to shape the platform’s evolution.
Drive initiatives across:
- Compute and orchestration
- Network topology
- Traffic and routing features
- Data storage infrastructure
Partner with engineering and other product teams to optimize for long-term reliability, performance, and extensibility.

Requirements

7+ years in Product Management, with most experience in developer tools, infrastructure, or platform products.
Strong communication and storytelling skills.
Deep developer empathy (for both internal engineering teams and customers).
Ability to make sound architectural tradeoffs in collaboration with engineering.
Track record turning ambiguous, cross-cutting platform problems into clear strategy and shipped outcomes.
Experience as an infrastructure engineer.

Nice to have

Experience building AI agents or infrastructure for AI.
Perspective on the future of agentic memory management and compute workloads.
General knowledge of how AI is used by modern teams.
Adjacent experience (engineering management or program management) may be considered.
