Staff Mobile Engineer, Flutter

Role overview

Staff Mobile Engineer (Flutter) / Lead Mobile Engineer to build a consumer-facing learning experience on iOS and Android. As an early engineering team member, you will own key mobile features end-to-end, help set technical standards, and shape engineering culture around high-quality, interactive learning experiences at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own Flutter mobile development end-to-end across iOS and Android
• Design, build, test, and maintain core mobile features with a high bar for performance, reliability, and UX
• Lead development of new mobile features in Flutter
• Bridge to native iOS functionality using Swift when needed for performance or platform access
• Partner with Design to ship interactive learning experiences using Rive and Unity
• Own mobile quality and testing (e.g., unit, integration, and end-to-end tests)
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to architecture decisions
• Help establish engineering standards, best practices, and a culture of craftsmanship

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional mobile engineering experience
• Strong, production-level experience building mobile apps with Flutter
• Native iOS development experience using Swift and/or Objective-C
• Experience building and maintaining mobile apps at scale (1M+ users preferred)
• Deep knowledge of mobile performance optimization and testing strategies
• Experience writing unit tests and end-to-end tests
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Track record of shipping high-quality products in high-performance teams

• Experience working with interactive assets/workflows involving Rive and Unity
