- Influence product/technology roadmaps by embedding integrated predictive simulation, robustness, and digital engineering.
Simulation Method Development & Design Enablement
- Develop and deploy integrated predictive engineering methodologies combining product design, manufacturing simulation, and multiphysics analysis.
- Improve design robustness and “first-time-right” outcomes using:
- MDO (multi-disciplinary optimization)
- Design space exploration
- Sensitivity analysis
- Tolerance-aware design
- Establish predictive frameworks such as:
- Reduced-order models (ROMs)
- Compact models
- Digital twins linking simulation, test, and field performance.
Physics-AI & Workflow Automation
- Drive adoption of Physics-AI approaches combining simulation data, test data, and machine learning.
- Build automated simulation workflows integrating CAD, meshing, solving, and post-processing.
- Enable data-driven engineering via pipelines for model calibration, surrogate modeling, and rapid design iteration.
Cross-Functional Integration
- Translate simulation insights into actionable decisions across product and process domains.
- Collaborate with electrical, signal integrity, system architecture, manufacturing, and supplier development teams.
Validation / Robustness / Go-To-Production
- (Section begins but is truncated in the source text.)
Requirements
- Staff-level capability to lead advanced mechanical research and validation for complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Ability to define and drive simulation architectures and integrated predictive workflows across design, materials, and manufacturing.
Nice to Have (implied by responsibilities)
- Experience with multiphysics simulations, design optimization, and tolerance-aware design.
- Experience building predictive frameworks such as digital twins, ROMs, and surrogate models.
- Experience with Physics-AI / ML workflows for accelerating design cycles and improving predictive accuracy.
