Staff Machine Learning Engineer (Dynamic World Perception)

About the role

Join our Dynamic World Perception team as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer. You will lead the development and enhancement of our long-range detection capabilities, ensuring safety and performance standards are met. You will contribute to the expansion and fusion of existing detection models, improve model frameworks and data pipelines, and develop robust software for onboard vehicle deployment. You will also drive cross-functional features and workstreams, contribute to the technical direction of the team, and align stakeholders with strong presentation and communication skills. Key missions: Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of long-range detection capabilities, ensuring safety and performance standards are met or exceeded.. Drive initiatives to deliver state-of-the-art closed-and open-world detection capabilities, and contribute to the expansion and fusion of existing detection models.. Develop robust software for onboard vehicle deployment, optimizing for real-time, resource-constrained, and safety-critical environments. Profile: - Strong experience in software engineering and machine learning algorithm design - Experience delivering detection, segmentation, and/or tracking solutions for real-time robotic applications. Prior experience in sensor fusion is highly desirable - Extensive experience architecting, training, and deploying deep learning models into real-world environments - Experience with C++ - Fluency in Python - Track record of driving applied research projects from start to completion, including conception, problem definition, experimentation, iteration, and finally publication or productization
