Role overview

Join Sentry’s AI/ML team as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer (Artificial Intelligence). You’ll develop models and agentic systems that enhance Sentry’s product capabilities and help companies turn software signals into actionable insights.

Key missions

  • Develop and implement machine learning models and agents to improve core product capabilities.
  • Lead major AI/ML initiatives, leveraging Sentry’s dataset of errors, spans, and profiles.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate AI/ML into core product experiences.

Responsibilities / profile

  • Build production-grade agentic systems and tools.
  • Own major systems, features, or components, and partner with multiple engineers and teams.
  • Write production-quality code (Python).
  • Provide technical documentation, mentor others, and present to technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise building production-grade agentic systems.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks (uses PyTorch).
  • 4+ years professional experience with an MS/PhD in CS/ML (or related field).
  • 6+ years professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree in CS/ML (or related field).
  • Familiarity with deploying machine learning models at scale in production environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong comfort working in cross-functional teams with developers and product teams.
  • Proven track record of owning and driving delivery across engineering and product stakeholders.
