Staff Fullstack Product Software Engineer (Dash)
Dropbox is building AI-powered software applications to enhance knowledge work. You’ll help design, develop, and maintain scalable AI-driven product capabilities, working closely with product managers, data scientists, ML engineers, and cross-engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications for AI-powered applications.
- Define and deliver a multi-team growth strategy with measurable outcomes by owning product capabilities and technical systems.
- Lead design and delivery across specific product areas and multi-component systems.
- Establish engineering best practices, improve reliability, and reduce technical debt.
- Balance technical requirements with business goals alongside cross-functional partners.
- Lead by example with high-quality code, strong reviews, and hands-on mentorship; foster a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.
- Mentor senior engineers and model high-signal design reviews and effective cross-team influence.
- Run experiments and A/B tests to validate hypotheses and guide product decisions.
- Participate in on-call rotations to maintain service reliability (including core and non-core business hours, where applicable).
Requirements
- 12+ years of relevant experience.
- BS/BA or higher in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
- Strong problem-solving and ability to convert user requirements into practical solutions.
- Full-stack capability to build a minimum working product quickly.
- Experience with large-scale, user-facing applications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience on a product growth team.
- Interest in 0→1 product building and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Experience building user-facing applications on web and/or desktop.
- Strong front-end experience: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS3.
- Strong backend experience: Golang and/or Python.
- Experience building large distributed systems at scale.

- Remote (HQ noted as Remote; Canada select locations).
