Staff Full Stack Software Engineer

Role Overview

Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer supporting production AI/ML products. You will bridge GIS and machine-learning workflows with dynamic web interfaces, partnering with multiple teams across the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack software development projects, including data ETL and feature development for production-ready services
• Support AI/ML product production by connecting GIS ↔ machine learning ↔ web UI workflows
• Collaborate with management and technical teams to shape technical roadmap and implementation strategy
• Work from requirements through deployment, ensuring systems are scalable and reliable

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Python/Go microservices and cloud infrastructure
• Relational databases experience
• Strong React UI/UX skills; understanding of REST and frontend service integration
• Experience integrating third-party APIs, building data ETL pipelines, and handling complex data at scale
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes (notably AWS EKS)
• Experience with on-prem / airgapped deployments
• Strong communication skills with customers, management, and engineering teams
• US citizenship required (program requirement)
• Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in CS, math, physics, statistics, or related computational field
• Experience: 8+ years software engineering, with 3+ years focused on full stack; 10+ years preferred
• Demonstrated scalable production architecture experience, especially for ML or image processing

Nice to Have

• Experience with machine learning or computer vision
• Familiarity with satellite imagery / remote sensing datasets and image preprocessing for sensors (e.g., Sentinel, Landsat, BlackSky, Airbus, Planet, WorldView)
• Experience with ML/infrastructure tooling (e.g., Kubernetes-based scaling, ClearML, Nvidia Triton, Kubeflow, TorchServe, Argo)
