Role Overview

Staff Frontend Platform Engineer (Remote, USA)

Own and evolve the company’s cross-platform frontend platform, with a focus on design systems and developer enablement (platform engineering, developer experience, and tooling—not feature delivery).

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve a cross-platform design system across web and mobile
• Build and scale shared component libraries, design tokens, and frontend tooling
• Drive frontend architecture decisions and set engineering standards
• Lead modernization initiatives across React, TypeScript, and frontend build tooling
• Improve developer experience via tooling, automation, CI/CD, and AI-assisted workflows
• Partner with Design, Product, and Engineering leadership
• Mentor engineers and elevate frontend best practices across the organization

Requirements

• 8+ years of frontend engineering experience
• Strong expertise in React and TypeScript
• Experience building and scaling design systems or shared component libraries
• Proven frontend architecture and platform ownership experience
• Exposure to React Native and mobile platforms
• Familiarity with Storybook, Figma, accessibility, and frontend developer tooling
• Comfortable mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction
• Interest in AI-assisted development workflows and modern productivity tools

• Accessibility experience (WCAG)
• Internationalization/localization
• Experience in SaaS, HealthTech, HRTech, or other high-growth product companies
• Experience on platform/infrastructure/developer enablement teams

Compensation & Work Setup

• $140,000–$190,000 base + equity
• Remote-first environment (USA)
