Role overview

Staff Frontend Engineer at Circuit. You will build high-quality, user-facing experiences in Circuit’s core web application, working closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver intuitive, performant, and accessible interfaces.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain core frontend features for the web application
Translate product and design direction into polished, responsive, and accessible UI
Contribute to frontend architecture, patterns, and technical decisions
Operate as an agent-native engineer, leveraging tools like Claude Code and Cursor across scoping, implementation, testing, and bug triage
Own features end-to-end: implementation → testing → QA → production release
Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
Use observability tooling to monitor, debug, and improve production frontend performance (e.g., RUM, tracing, structured logging)
Participate in design reviews, planning, and technical discussions
Provide code reviews and mentorship to raise team quality and growth
Collaborate with Product and Design to clarify requirements and surface tradeoffs
Drive incremental improvements to performance, accessibility, DX, and frontend tooling

Requirements

7+ years of professional frontend or full-stack engineering experience shipping production web applications
Proven ability to operate at staff/principal level as an individual contributor
Strong collaboration experience with Product and Design to iterate on UX and balance tradeoffs

Nice-to-haves
