About the role
Role overview
Staff Engineer (DevOps) – Remote (US Based) at Dispel. You will help ship production-ready software and build reliable infrastructure, automation, and observability in support of Dispel’s security and connectivity platform.
Responsibilities
- Deliver production-ready software with a strong DevOps mindset.
- Lead DevOps and infrastructure efforts across Infrastructure-as-Code, orchestration, automation, and redundancy.
- Integrate security into delivery workflows using DevSecOps practices.
- Build and operate systems using containers and cloud services.
- Create and maintain logging, metrics, and alerting that provide real value to teams.
- Guide teams through the software lifecycle from local development to production.
- Communicate complex technical topics clearly via documentation and team collaboration.
- Iterate based on failure, feedback, and learning.
Requirements
- 7+ years experience shipping production-ready software (IC5 level).
- Self-reliance in DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, orchestration, automation, and redundancy.
- Experience delivering web applications to production reliably.
- Professional experience with containers, AWS, the AWS Well-Architected Framework, and Terraform.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
- SysAdmin experience.
- Relevant certifications.
Benefits / work setup

- Salary range: $138,000–154,000 USD annually.

- FLSA-exempt role; may require working more than 40 hours/week at times.
