Staff Engineer: DevOps- Remote (US Based)

Role overview

Staff Engineer (DevOps) – Remote (US Based) at Dispel. You will help ship production-ready software and build reliable infrastructure, automation, and observability in support of Dispel’s security and connectivity platform.

Responsibilities

• Deliver production-ready software with a strong DevOps mindset.
• Lead DevOps and infrastructure efforts across Infrastructure-as-Code, orchestration, automation, and redundancy.
• Integrate security into delivery workflows using DevSecOps practices.
• Build and operate systems using containers and cloud services.
• Create and maintain logging, metrics, and alerting that provide real value to teams.
• Guide teams through the software lifecycle from local development to production.
• Communicate complex technical topics clearly via documentation and team collaboration.
• Iterate based on failure, feedback, and learning.

Requirements

• 7+ years experience shipping production-ready software (IC5 level).
• Self-reliance in DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, orchestration, automation, and redundancy.
• Experience delivering web applications to production reliably.
• Professional experience with containers, AWS, the AWS Well-Architected Framework, and Terraform.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with DevSecOps and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
• SysAdmin experience.
• Relevant certifications.
