Role Overview

Staff DevOps Engineer (Remote - US or San Francisco)

Join the foundations team as a senior, hands-on Staff DevOps Engineer to own and scale the infrastructure underpinning high-throughput APIs and integrations. You will lead major infrastructure initiatives, improve deployment systems, and enable engineering teams to move faster through better tooling and platform design.

Key Responsibilities

Own and scale production infrastructure for customer-facing integrations and high-throughput APIs
Lead large infrastructure projects from architecture through production
Improve and evolve deployment systems and developer enablement tooling
Support observability and reliability needs for data systems and APIs
Build and run production-grade infrastructure at Staff level with strong ownership

Requirements

8–10 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
Proven Staff-level operating experience and strong ownership
Deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform
Strong understanding of CI/CD systems and developer enablement
Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS + GCP or Azure)
Familiarity with Prometheus and observability tooling
Ability to lead in fast-paced environments with ambiguity and evolving systems

Nice-to-Haves

Experience supporting high-throughput data systems and APIs (explicitly mentioned as part of responsibilities)
