About the role

Role Overview

Staff DevOps Engineer at Palo Alto Networks (full remote). You will design, implement, and deploy products and infrastructure that improve stability and quality while reducing time to market.

Key Missions / Responsibilities

Design, implement, and deploy products and infrastructures to enhance stability and quality and speed up delivery.
Manage high-scale Jenkins clusters as code and build the full application release cycle (CI/CD).
Create highly automated infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Bring deep experience with containers and orchestrators.

Requirements (Profile)

2–5 years hands-on experience as a Software/DevOps/Infrastructure developer.
Deep cloud infrastructure knowledge in AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
Experience managing high-scale Jenkins clusters as code.
Understanding of software dependency supply chains.
Experience creating automated Infrastructure as Code.
Experience building the full application release cycle (CI/CD).
Familiarity with the open-source community.
Container and orchestrator experience: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS (or similar).
Knowledge of operating system administration.
Strong design and analytical skills.
Significant development experience with: Python, Groovy, Bash, PowerShell.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and deeply.
Troubleshooting skills and creative, autonomous mindset.
Methodical approach to planning, prioritizing, tracking, and measuring processes.
Strong communication and teamwork.
Decision-making considering architectural and business needs.
Testing experience: unit, integration, and system tests.
Networking foundations (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, network protocols).
Security principles (risk management, threat modeling, secure configuration).
Database usage/understanding.
Agile development/practices.
BA/BS in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.

Cloud Solution Architect Certificate.

Eligibility / Constraints

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder to meet FedRAMP High authorized access requirements.
