Staff DevOps Engineer

Role overview

As a Staff DevOps Engineer at Ivanti, you will design scalable DevOps systems and patterns for multiple SaaS product lines. You will partner with the Head of DevOps to define and execute the DevOps strategy in a remote role on the East Coast of the US.

Key missions / responsibilities

• Design systems and reusable patterns to support building, deploying, and monitoring SaaS applications across multiple product lines.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to establish best practices and SDLC lifecycle models reusable by multiple products.
• Build and maintain tools that automate workflows and ensure security requirements and certifications are met.
• Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards.
• Identify and resolve process bottlenecks.
• Lead technical discussions and participate in code reviews.

Requirements / profile

• Experience using Kubernetes (including core concepts like ingress, namespaces, volumes, and abstractions such as AKS/EKS).
• Practical knowledge of Azure, including common platform services.
• Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure definition and state-based deployments.
• Monitoring experience, including New Relic for deployments using APM and related capabilities.
• CI/CD pipeline experience, including GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps (ADO) Pipelines; knowledge of consolidating pipelines as teams move away from Jenkins/Bamboo.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with containers and hosting workloads using Kubernetes at scale.
• Familiarity with state-based Terraform workflows for versioned products.
