Staff Data Scientist

Role overview

As a Staff Data Scientist at Twilio (full remote), you will build and deploy advanced analytics and data science solutions to optimize sales performance and enable data-driven decisions across the Go-To-Market (GTM) organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy predictive models and related algorithms to inform sales strategy and improve measurable outcomes.
• Partner with GTM stakeholders (especially sales and marketing) to identify high-impact data science opportunities.
• Communicate complex analyses and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive-facing presentations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in data science or advanced analytics.
• Experience supporting Go-To-Market (GTM) and Sales organizations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including executive presentations.
• Expert-level SQL and strong dashboarding proficiency (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
• Deep expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis.
• Ability to synthesize complex problems and deliver actionable insights.
• Experience with Git and workflow best practices.
• Familiarity with productionizing machine learning models in cloud environments.
• Advanced programming experience in Python or R.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of data visualization and feature engineering.
• Experience in enterprise B2B SaaS.
• Expertise in mathematical optimization and ETL processes.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and drive organizational change through analytics.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with generative AI and deep learning approaches.
• Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field.
