About the role
Role Overview
Join Quince as a Staff Data Analyst (Returns) to drive analytics for returns, refund accuracy, and warehouse productivity. You will build dashboards and automated reporting, diagnose issues in refund performance, develop predictive models, and partner on system improvements.
Key Missions
- Build and maintain dashboards & automated KPI reporting with strong data quality and governance.
- Measure and optimize warehouse productivity by analyzing performance and identifying inefficiencies.
- Improve refund accuracy by investigating delayed or incorrect refunds.
- Identify and drive cost reductions across returns-related operations.
- Build predictive models to forecast/understand returns and outcomes.
- Partner on system improvements related to data and returns workflows.
Responsibilities
- Work across operations, finance, and product to translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Own end-to-end analytics initiatives: problem definition → data validation → implementation → impact measurement.
- Manage multiple workstreams and deliver in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Expert-level SQL (complex queries, performance optimization, large-scale transactional datasets).
- Strong analytics skills: define metrics, diagnose root causes, and recommend actions.
- Experience with dashboarding and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Sigma or similar), including automation/alerting familiarity.
- Python or R for statistical analysis, data modeling, and exploratory analysis.
- 7+ years in data analytics, operations analytics, or supply chain analytics (with exposure to returns/reverse logistics/warehouse operations).
- Bachelor’s in a quantitative field (Master’s preferred).
- Strong written and oral communication; comfortable partnering cross-functionally.
Nice to Haves
- Knowledge of inventory management, cost accounting, and/or P&L analysis.
- Experience with reverse logistics, returns management systems, or warehouse workflows.
- Background in process optimization / Six Sigma / operational excellence.
- Familiarity with e-commerce, logistics, or marketplace operations.
- Strong proficiency with AI tools to increase productivity and accelerate analysis.
