Staff Backend Engineer (Grafana App Platform)

Role overview

As a Staff Backend Engineer on the Grafana App Platform, you will help transform Grafana into a multi-tenant, scalable observability platform. You’ll build new backend features, improve operational experiences, and mentor other engineers while shaping the team’s roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new platform features with a focus on multi-tenancy and scalability.

Requirements

• Experience working on a SaaS platform and with distributed systems challenges (e.g., scalability, multi-tenancy, data isolation, HA).

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work across teams.
• Pragmatic approach: prioritize progress over perfection and handle ambiguity.
