About the role

Join Coinbase as a Staff Applied Data Scientist, where you'll lead pricing experimentation and strategy for the company's Consumer & Business products. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to turn analytical insights into impactful business decisions. Your responsibilities will include designing and analyzing pricing tests, building pricing models, and communicating findings to executives. You should have at least 8 years of experience in data science, with a focus on pricing experimentation and statistical modeling. Profile: - Track record of independently scoping and delivering complex analytical projects spanning multiple teams, from problem definition through executive presentation - Proven proficiency in SQL and Python or R for statistical modeling, pipeline development, and data analysis - 8+ years of experience in data science with a focus on pricing experimentation, causal inference, and statistical modeling (PhD preferred, or Master's in Economics, Statistics, or related quantitative field) - Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality - 5+ years directly leading pricing or experimentation workstreams, including designing A/B tests and building predictive models
