Staff AI Product Manager

Role overview

DigitalOcean is hiring a Staff AI Product Manager to own the strategic vision, development, and execution of its GPU product offerings. This role sits at the intersection of advanced technology and product innovation, helping shape accelerated computing capabilities for AI/ML and HPC workloads.

Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for GPUs, including defining capacity, provisioning, and deployment workflows aligned with cloud infrastructure objectives.
• Conduct market analysis on GPU compute trends, competitor offerings, pricing, and emerging technologies to guide product direction and positioning.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Infrastructure to conceptualize, develop, and deliver GPU solutions optimized for AI, ML, and HPC workloads.
• Advocate for customer deployment requirements by collecting, prioritizing, and using feedback to refine the capacity consumption experience and platform offerings.
• Partner with Hardware Engineering, Capacity Planning, Solutions Architecture, and Go-to-Market to ensure successful, scalable GPU resource launches and full lifecycle management.
• Use data-driven approaches to measure product success via metrics such as utilization and deployment velocity, and drive strategic improvements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience, specializing in cloud compute infrastructure, accelerated computing, or high-performance networking.
• Deep technical knowledge of GPU architectures (specifically AMD and NVIDIA) and how they apply to AI/ML and HPC.
• Proven ability to manage complex infrastructure products from concept through large-scale deployment and optimization.
• Strong ownership mindset and strong analytical/problem-solving skills, especially around capacity and scaling.
• Leadership and cross-functional communication skills to drive consensus across technical and business teams.
• Customer-focused approach with experience turning insights into product improvements.
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) in Agile and/or hybrid environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
