Role Overview

Senior User Experience Researcher (Sr. UXR) at Rula (Remote)

You will lead end-to-end research initiatives to understand the needs, motivations, and challenges of patients and providers, and translate those insights into product experiences that make mental health care easier to access.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end research initiatives that inform product strategy and improve workflows across Rula.
Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and Data to ensure decisions are grounded in user insights and behavioral data.
Identify high-impact research opportunities and help shape how research influences product development.
Define and execute research roadmaps.
Turn signals from users, product analytics, and feedback into actionable insights that guide product direction.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of user research experience with demonstrated success building and scaling B2B SaaS, productivity tools, or operations platforms.
Track record driving measurable impact in user retention, workflow efficiency, or task automation.
Ability to frame ambiguous product questions into clear, decision-oriented research plans.
Experience connecting research questions to “build / don’t build / what to build” decisions.
Experience conducting research with multi-sided marketplace audiences (e.g., consumers and professionals).
Ability to balance speed, rigor, and product constraints (e.g., proposing realistic plans for a one-month timeline).
Experience influencing product strategy through research.
Strong collaboration with PM, Design, Analytics, and other partners (aligning on decisions/risks, constructively challenging direction, translating insights into design principles).

Preferred Qualifications

Multi-sided marketplace research experience.
Research across multiple connected surfaces (e.g., mobile and web).
Experience working with internal clinical, support, or operations expert teams.
Exposure to healthcare/mental health (or other sensitive domains).

Location / Work Setup

100% remote; must be based in the United States.
Not hiring in Hawaii.
