About the role
Role overview
You will be a Senior UI/UX Designer supporting a high-visibility, enterprise AI-enabled financial compliance initiative for the U.S. Department of War. The work focuses on modernizing financial system compliance and audit workflows across 180+ systems, designing secure, accessible experiences that make complex AI-driven analytics actionable for financial leaders and compliance validators.
Responsibilities
- Design user-centered interfaces for AI-enabled compliance dashboards and analytics tools
- Translate complex financial and technical workflows into intuitive, low-friction UX
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterative prototyping with government stakeholders
- Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes aligned to secure DoW environments
- Collaborate with Full Stack Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, Data Engineers, and Financial SMEs for cohesive delivery
- Advocate for clarity, usability, and adoption in highly regulated operational environments
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UX, or related field
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience
- Strong portfolio showing modern web application design
- Experience designing data-heavy dashboards, analytics platforms, or compliance systems
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma and/or Adobe XD (or similar)
- Experience conducting user testing and applying human-centered design methodologies
- Familiarity designing within secure or regulated environments

Compensation & benefits
- Salary range: $115,000–$124,000 (final offer depends on qualifications and internal equity)
