Sr. UI/UX Designer & Developer

Role Overview

Sr. UI/UX Designer & Developer (75% Design / 25% Development) at Visionaire Partners. Own the design strategy and contribute to a multi-year enterprise modernization effort, with 100% remote flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Drive design strategy for a multi-year redesign of high-traffic legacy web portals.
• UX discovery: run stakeholder interviews, user research, personas, information architecture, and usability testing.
• Scale design systems: develop and maintain enterprise design systems and component libraries.
• Design + build UI: create responsive, accessible interfaces (WCAG/ADA), primarily using Vue.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Collaborate & mentor: work with cross-functional Agile teams and mentor junior designers.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of professional UI/UX design and web/mobile development experience.
• Figma proficiency and experience managing design systems.
• Strong front-end fundamentals: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and relevant JavaScript framework experience (Vue emphasized).
• Proven UX practice across user research, information architecture, and responsive design.
• Solid understanding of ADA/WCAG accessibility.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred fields: HCI, UX Design, Computer Science or related).

Nice-to-Haves

• Evidence of design-to-code workflow in a portfolio.
• Experience leading or contributing to large enterprise portal redesigns.

Logistics

• Location: 100% remote; must reside in EST or CST.
• Travel: ~once per year to the corporate office.
• Engagement: open to direct hire or contract-to-hire (6 months).
